Battling sensitive skin issues can be super frustrating! I tried everything I could put my hands on...literally. I couldn't find the relief I needed for my eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. Yes, I have it all. So, I decided to make my own products that were natural in hopes of helping to ease the symptoms of my skin issues and maybe helping others find relief from their skin issues, too.
So, everyone wants to know how the name came to be. When I (the owner) was around 11-12 years of age, I was fortunate enough to have someone who became a positive role model in my life. He would always participate in the Marsh Hen Hunts down at Edisto Beach. After the Marsh Hen Hunt, he would always bring back a t-shirt for me. The last shirt he gave me before he passed away, I held on to as a keepsake for well over 20 years until it literally fell apart. So, in his honor, that is how the name, The Marsh Hen Soap Co., came to be.
Because our soaps are made by hand, each bar is unique. Colors, color patterns, designs and some shapes and sizes may vary from bar to bar.
All of our soaps are hand crafted (MP base), hand made(from scratch using lye), and re-batched (purposely to give a rustic look) with all natural ingredients and essential oils to make your skin fee

Some soaps contain synthetic fragrance oils that smell delicious, too. Our bath salts, balms, and body butters do not contain any coconut oil! The best blends of natural oils are carefully chosen to make your skin look and feel happy!
